Title: Late-night road to Storholmsfjellet

Location: Kvaløya, Norway

Description: Captured on the way home from a shopping trip. Heading southwest on route 862 along the southeastern coast of Kvaløya, one can see Storholmsfjellet rise up over the Nordbotn cirque part of the sound, with Håkøya gently rising to the left. In this image, the black refuse bag and clutter-free roads, sidewalk, and snow ditches attest to the thorough efforts of a clean-up crew, in preparation for 17. mai (May 17, Constitution Day) festivities. (Some road signs in this image: [60km/hour speed limit / (Diamond) Right-of-way (vehicles along this stretch do not have to yield to intersecting roads from the right) / Route 862]; [Bus Stop]. Also note the red/white poles lining the roadway, placed at the start of winter to mark the sides of the road (for the snow plows) and removed in mid-May when the snow cover abates.)
