Title: First sunrise of 2009 over Malangen
Location: From near Spilderbukta, Norway
Description: Captured on the way to church. The sun rises above the horizon for the first time in 2009 over Malangen fjord. (The Polar Night ends on different dates for different areas, depending on whether obstacles, such as mountains, raise the horizon. After two months of no sun above the horizon, a scene like this can easily make one weep for joy.)
